Agricultural regimes inthe late 1800s. Red marks commercial latifundias with adjoining minifundias for landworkers; they exist in Latin America, Eastern Europe, Britain, Western Mediterranean, North India etc. Orange marks a continuity of bigger and smaller farms and estates; they fill out the rest of the densely populated agricultural regions of the world. Beige marks customary land tenure, collectively owned, so far outside the world market system. China is changing from orange to red, Ireland is changing, after the successes of Irish Land League, from red to orange.
